In 1912 JJ Boyd’s zoo opened in Royal Oak with all manner of exotic creatures. Before long one of the lions escaped – only to be recaptured by Mr. Boyd’s son. We’ve named this establishment “The Zookeeper’s Son”, as a reminder that sometimes you need to be let loose…”
The zookeeper’s son is a family friendly restaurant that is modern, stylish and has a relaxed atmosphere. They have a number of night-out options, like the main bar that is spacious and lively and has a great atmosphere to socialize, or next to the bar is the restaurant seating area for sit down meals. On the mezzanine level is a great space for social celebrations or large group dinners, or for private functions you can have the tree tops function room which can be set up to suit your needs.
This restaurant is a place full of activity, almost every night they have something going on like on weekends they have live music and Tuesdays they have a quiz night.
